Centre of Languages at Erasmus Village

The Centre of Languages of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (SUA) actively participated for the first time in the Erasmus Village event, which took place on November 25, 2025.
This is a traditional event, where foreign students present their countries, universities, and cultures, and Slovak students share their experiences from studying abroad. The event thus creates a space for mutual learning and promotes intercultural understanding at the university.
The Centre of Languages presented itself through an information stand, where we introduced:
- the Centre’s range of language courses,
- teaching Slovak language for foreign students, which the Centre has been developing for a long time,
- an interactive program with a quiz about Slovakia in Slovak and English,
- tongue twisters and basic vocabulary in Slovak for beginner students,
- a presentation of the cultural and natural beauty of Slovakia through a short video.
The stand attracted both foreign and Slovak students, who could test their knowledge and receive a small sweet reward from Slovak producers for completing the tasks.
We managed to raise awareness of our activities, introduce the Slovak language and culture to foreign participants, and actively promote an international atmosphere at the university. We are already looking forward to the next year of the Erasmus Village.
