International success: research stay at the University of Regensburg
26.09.2025
Mgr. Stanislava Gálová, PhD. received support from the German scholarship organization KAAD for a three-month research stay at the Center for Languages and Communication of the University of Regensburg.
The main purpose of the stay was to create teaching materials for the new optional subject Communication in German, which students of SUA in Nitra can attend from the winter semester 2025/26. The aim was to connect language education with content based on the focus of individual faculties of the university, and thus open up the space for students to learn German at an intermediate level in the context of topics that are close to them.
Thematic areas covered include, for example:
- sustainability and nature,
- agribusiness and marketing – unconventional business ideas,
- management and human resources – wellbeing in the workplace,
- animals and humans – the importance of animals in therapy with a focus on hippotherapy,
- smart technologies in agriculture – innovations in the agricultural sector,
- nutrition and healthy lifestyle – current trends in nutrition.
In this way, one subject becomes a space where topics from all faculties of our university meet. Dr. Gálová's three-month stay in Regensburg was therefore not only a professional success and a personal challenge, but also an enrichment of teaching at the Centre of Languages SUA Nitra, as the results of the work will have immediate practical application.
