15.04.2026
On April 9-10, 2026, the international scientific conference Slovak (not only) as a foreign language IV took place at the Faculty of Arts of Comenius University in Bratislava
The international scientific conference organized by the Center for Slovak as a Foreign Language - Studia Academica Slovaca.
This event is part of a long-term cycle of conferences that take place every five years and reflect current trends in applied research in the field of Slovak studies in an interdisciplinary context at home and abroad. Our colleagues Mgr. Dominika Antalová and Mgr. Stanislava Gálová, PhD., also actively participated in the conference, presenting a professional contribution focused on the issue of reflexive verbs in the Slovak language. In their presentation, they addressed not only the linguistic description of this phenomenon, but also its didactic aspects in the context of teaching Slovak as a foreign language.
The conference was thematically focused mainly on:
- linguodidactic aspects of Slovak as a foreign and second language,
- current research in the field of interlingual, interliterary and intercultural contacts,
- standards and testing of language competence,
- description and interpretation of language errors,
- mother tongue didactics in the context of foreign language education.
Participation in this important scientific forum brought our lecturers a lot of valuable experience. In addition to professional discussion and feedback on their contributions, they had the opportunity to establish new working contacts with experts from Slovakia and abroad, which creates space for further scientific cooperation and the development of joint projects.
